Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 April 2026

1. About these terms

These terms govern access to and use of the AssuranceLens platform, operated by Compass Innovation Limited (trading as AssuranceLens). By signing up or using the service you agree to these terms.

2. Service description

AssuranceLens is an AI-assisted regulatory compliance gap-analysis and document-comparison tool. Output is advisory and must be reviewed by a qualified person before use in any regulatory submission. We do not provide legal or regulatory consulting and the output does not constitute professional advice.

3. Accounts

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Customer data

You retain ownership of all customer documents and analysis output. You grant us a limited licence to process this data solely to deliver the service. We do not use customer data to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement available on request.

6. AI output disclaimer

Large language models can be inaccurate or incomplete. AssuranceLens provides traceable references and a mandatory human-review gate (EU AI Act Art. 14), but final responsibility for the regulatory submission rests with the customer. We make no warranty that AI output is fit for any particular purpose or that submissions will be accepted by any regulator.

7. Subscriptions and payment

8. Service availability

We aim for 99.5% monthly uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance is announced via the in-app notice bar. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party providers (DNS, CDN, payment processor, AI inference provider).

9. Intellectual property

The AssuranceLens platform, including its source code, models, prompts, guidance library, and trademarks, is and remains our property. No licence is granted to you beyond the right to use the service for the duration of your subscription.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or regulatory penalties.

11. Termination

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that customers in the EU may bring a claim before their local court where local law requires.
